Borner, called to order a regular meeting of
Enforcement Board at 7:00 p.m., Thursday,

Members present were Mrs. Borner, Chairwoman, Mr. Christian, Mr.
Lange, Mrs. Cucanich, Mr. Kozlowski, Mr. Cowan and Mrs. Strong.
Also present were Pat Di Leva, Code Enforcement/Safety Director
and Sandra Meager-Pengov, Secretary.

Mrs. Stt-ong moved to accep t the mi. nu tes of Febl-uary 15, 1990 as
presented. Seconcled by Mrs. Cucanich. Motion CARRIED 6-0. Mr.
Cowan abstained as the March meeting was his first to serve as a
Board member.

Case fJ90-CC:-OOB - Huntly Jiffy Stol-e #504 - Oper'ating gas pumps
without an occupational license. Huntly Jiffy Store attorneys
have been in contact with the City Engineer, however, there is no
change at this time in the status of the violation.

Section 18-4. After the general swearing in of all case
witnesses, Mr. Di Leva reported his findings.
Mr. Di Leva passed pictures to the Board of Mr. Blanton's
residence. MI-. Di Leva stated the boat will fit in the ten (10)
feet area beside the residence.
Mr. Blanton on his own behalf, passed a copy of his property
survey to the Boal-d and fur ther exp 1 a i ned tha t the boat when on
the trailer is eight (8) feet wide, too wide to park next to the
housE'.
Mr. Lange made a motion that, for this case, ten (10) feet is not
ample space to park the boat. Seconded by Mr. Christian. Motion
CARRIED 6-0. Mrs. Strong voted no.
Cas~_. #90-CC-Q.ll PerTY Barrett - Ground sign erected wi thout a
permit. Section 3-5. Mr. Di Leva passed pictures to th~ Board
showing off site sign and explained the letter sent to Mr.
Barrett from Lynne Plaskett, Assistant Planning and Zoning
Director. The letter stated the request from Mr. Barrett for a
sign on Roberts Road and U.S. 11 was denied because off site
signs are not permitted.
Attorney, William Hathaway, representing Mr. Perry Barrett
discussed Section 3-8, page 277 of The Code of Ordinances. Mr.
Lange stated this section has nothing to do wittl the violation.
Mr. Hathaway stated that Mr. Barrett feels he did not have

adequate time to pursue an appeal of the denial of the sign
permit. After further discussion Mrs. Strong made a motion to
remove the sign within five (5) days of receipt of the Findings
of Fact, Conclusions of Law and Order by certified mail, or a
fine of two hundred and fifty dollars ($250.00) per day will be
imposed. Seconded by Mrs. Cucanich. Motion CARRIED 5-2. Mr.
Lange and Mr. Cowan voting no.
Case #90-CC-022 Meadow Lake, Coleman Construction Company-
Illegal sign & flags in right-of-way. Section 3-5. A motion was
made and seconded to table Case #90-CC-022 until next meeting
(Apl-il 19, 1990) as Ml-. Di Leva believes Mr. Coleman may be
confused as to the illegal sign.

The Board asked the secretary to make the necessary revisions to
the Citizens Code Enforcement By-Laws regarding Article VII,

Mr. Di Leva had nothing to report at this time.

was made and accepted to adjourn. The meeting adjourned at 8:06
