04-27-1989 t.. o o . CITY OF EDGEWATER CITIZEN CODE ENFORCEMENT BOARD Regular Meeting 7:00 P.M. Conference Room, City Hall Thursday, April 27, /1989 Chairman Delores Cucanich called to order a regular meeting of the Citizen Code Enforcement Board at 7:00 p.m., Thursday, April 27, 1989, in the conference room of City Hall. Members present were Mr. Don Bennington, Mr. Paul Biggerstaff, Ms. Maureen Borner, Ms. Delores Cucanich - Chairman, Mr. Richard Kozlowski, Ms. Ella Ledge-Adele, and Mr. Paul Williams. Also present were Pat DiLeva, Code Enforcement Officer/Safety Director and Sondra Meager-pengov, Secretary. NEW BUSINESS/UNFINISHED BUSINESS Mr. DiLeva report that cases; 89-CC-15, 89-CC-17, 89-CC-19, 89-CC-20, 89-CC-21, 89-CC-26, 89-CC-27, 89-CC-30, 89-CC-31, 89-CC-32, 89-CC-34, 89-CC-38, 89-CC-42, 89-CC-58, 89-CC-59 are now in compliance. Mr. Williams made a motion to have 89-CC-23 tabled until the next meeting. Seconded by Mr. Bennington. Motion carried 7-0. Case 89-CC-28 - Mr. Bennington moved to propose the maximum daily fine of $250.00 per day, retroactive to January 26, 1989. Mr. Kozlowski seconded. Motion carried 5-2. Ms. Adele moved to amend the motion and give 89-CC-28 10 days from date of the meeting to apply for the license, otherwise impose the fine. Seconded by Mr. Williams. Motion passed as amended 7-0. 89-CC-33 - Mr. Williams made a motion to give 10 days from date of the meeting to apply for the license otherwise impose the daily fine of $250.00 per day. Seconded by Ms. Adele. Motion passed 7-0. 89-CC-25 - Mr. DiLeva stated as of April 27, 1989, 89-CC-25 was still in violation. Mr. Bennington moved to allow him 10 days from date of the meeting in which to comply or impose the maximum fine of $250.00 per day. Seconded by Mr. Williams. Motion passed 7-0. 88-CC-4 - Mr. DiLeva stated he inspected the property today, April 27, 1989, that there were some noticeable changes in the poles. Mr. DiLeva swore Mr. TiEfany (owner of the lot) in. Mr. Tiffany stated his position was to use the poles in landscaping. Mr. Bennington stated that Mr. Tiffany was in violation of the code, because the articles are stored on a lot visible to the public, which is in violation of the code. Mr. Bennington made a motion to clean up,or use, the property by the next meeting of May 25, 1989. Seconded by Ms. Adele. Motion passed 7-0. Chairman Cucanich suggested that the Board members pickup their packets for the Board meetings well in advance. Mr. DiLeva briefly discussed the Weekly Progress Report. Mr. Bennington stated how strongly he feels about the code enforcing,/because the City of Edgewater has been lenient in the past, but is now doing much better with Pat DiLeva as Code Enforcement Officer.
