OLD BUSINESS
Case No. 84-CC-l - Harold C. Lloyd - Continuation
A notarized statement from Sgt. William D. Lenz indicated that on April 26,
1984, Mr. Lloyd had two vehicles on his property which were still in vio-
lation. The members questioned Mr. Lloyd about the progress he has made
to bring his property up to Code since the last meeting. Mr. Lloyd pro-
duced the registration. papers for the concession trailer, Serial #FLT 4206
which he had obtained on April 26. He explained that the serial number for
the trailer had to be verified, and the person from the tag office had some
problems getting to his property to physically view the serial number. It
now has a tag on it.
Mr. Rosa asked about the storage shed and Mr. Lloyd explained that he has
taken the motor and transmission out of it, put a tongue on it and bought
a trailer tag for it so that it is now legal.
Mr. Lloyd said that he has had the '57 Chevrolet step van for sale. He
produced the receipt for the ad and the ad itself. Mr. Rosa asked if he
was asking a reasonable price for the step van and Mr. Lloyd replied that
he was asking $300, which is a fair asking price.
Mr. Prater questioned Mr. Lloyd about the number of vehicles visible from
the street. Mr. Lloyd said that counting the boat there are four and
everything is legal except for the step van.
Mr. Rosa remarked that he felt Mr. Lloyd should be commended for his
efforts. He has made a lot of progress since the last meeting; every-
thing which the Board has asked him to do he has done, except for the
step van, which he is trying to sell. Mr. Richardson suggested that the
van could be tagged to make it legal.
Mr. Lloyd said that he had talked to the Chief the morning of April 26.
Mrs. Kane agreed with Mr. Rosa. If the Board decides he needs a tag he
can get one for the van.
Mr. Prater advised that the case will remain open until a "Now-in-Compliance"
form is signed by the inspector. Mr. Turano said that at the last meeting
he had not realized that this had happened one time before. He suggested
to Mr. Lloyd that he not let it happen again. Mr. Turano said he was
in agreement to going along with the Board's wishes.
Mr. Lloyd said he will keep the Chief advised of what is happening reo the
van. He feels that he will be able to sell the van soon. If he cannot
sell it he will get a tag for it before the next meeting.
Mr. Richardson motioned that the case be continued until the following
meeting. The motion was seconded by Mr. Turano and CARRIED 7-0.

MISCELLANEOUS - Correspondence from the City Clerk
The memo from the City Clerk was concerning opinions or evidence from the
City Attorney or other City officials. The secretary explained to the
members the reason for this memorandum.
On other matters, Mr. Rotundo suggested that a recommendation to update
Sec. 712.00 - Parking and storage of certain vehicles, was in order.
This idea was discussed at length. Mr. Williams said that as long as
the vehicles are tagged you cannot tell an individual how many he can
own, as long as they are not commercial vehicles.
The meeting was adjourned at 7:45 p.m.
