CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order by Vice Chairman Russell Prater at 7:00 P.M. in the
Edgewater Community Center.
ROLL CALL
Members present: Vice Chairman Prater, Mr. Hamel, Mrs. Kane, Mr. Holahan. Mr. Williams
and Mr. Richardson were excused. Also present City Clerk Nancy Blazi.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Mr. Holahan moved that

Upon roll call the motion CARRIED 4-0.
Mr. Prater informed board members that at the Dec. 7th meeting of the City Council, the
resignation of Mr. Zeller was accepted. He added that Ordinance 81-0-5 : states that
vacancies shall be automatically filled by the alternate member and the alternate member
position shall be filled by the City Council for the unexpired term.
OLD BUSINESS
Case No. 81-CC-8, Robert Voshell, Hiverview Pines Mobile Home Park He: Building Code Ord. 941.
The Board has received an affidavit of compliance from the Building Inspector.
Mrs. Kane motioned to close the case, seconded by Mr. Hamel.
Mr. Holahan asked about sending letters to the respondent. A standard form letter was
read to the board. Suggestions were made for minor changes in the wording of the letter.
Mrs. Kane added that the approved letter should be sent to Mr. Voshell, Mr. Hamel seconded
the addition. Upon roll call the motion and addition CARRIED 4-0.
Case No. 81-CC-9- Howard Temple, 2013 Kumquat Dr. He: Alleged violation of Section #712.
The Board has received an affidavit of compliance from the Police Chief.
Mr. Holahan motioned to close the case and send the approved letter, seconded by Mr. Hamel.
Upon roll call the motion CARRIED 4-0.
NEW BUSINESS
Mr. Prater requested that the Board discuss Case No. 81-CC-11 - William Perry, Sundance
Lounge, 515 N. Hidgewood, He: Ordinance 79-0-25. The Board has J:eceived an affidavit of
compliance from the Police Chief. The board discussed the type of violation which
concerned the lights on a sign.
Mr. Holahan motioned to close the case and send the approved letter, seconded by Mrs. Kane.
Upon roll call the motion CARRIED 4-0.
Case No. 81~CC-13 - Mr. Saindon, 403 N. Hidgewood Re: Ord. 604.
an affidavit of compliance from the Police Chief.
The board has received
Mrs. Kane motioned to close the case and send the approved letter, seconded by Mr. Hamel.
Upon roll call the motion CARRIED 4-0.
Mr. Holahan suggested that the Police Chief and the Building Official be notified about
the letter that the board will send concerning cases that have been closed. It was
decided that a carbon copy of each letter will be send to the Police Chief and the Building
Inspector.

Case No. 81-CC-10 - Mrs. Walker, 1707 High Street, He: Ord. 604. An affidavit of non-
compliance has been filed by the Police Chief as of Dec. 11, 1981. The original notification
of violation was issued on Nov. 25, 1981.
Mr. Hamel suggested that another ten day notice should be issued and if the situation is
not corrected that a tow truck should be sent to tow the car away and bill the respondent.
Mr. Prater said that he believed this would have to be presented to the board before they
could take that kind of action. Hr. Holahan said that Mrs. Walker has not been subpoenaed
to appear before the board. Mr. Hamel said that a subpoena should have been issued.
There was a discussion concerning this violation.
Mr.-Holahan motioned to notify the Police Chief to serve her with the necessary papers for
her appearance before the board at the next meeting (January 28, 1981)., seconded by
Mr. Hamel. Upon roll call the motion CARRIED 4-0.
The board discussed the notice of hearing after the 10 day period has expired. The
consensus of opinion was that the procedure be automatically followed. There was also
a brief discussion about some houses in the city that are in deplorable condition. This
would come under the jurisdiction of the Building Official for proper action.
Mr. Hamel motioned to adjourn the meeting, seconded by ~rr. Holahan. The meeting was adjourned
to January 28, 1981.
