EdgewRter, Florida April 22, 1949 To the HonorRble, The Members of the Town Council, Town of Edgewater, Florida. Gentlemen: , . This letter is being submitted to you by the undersigned business people in Edgewater. We believe that the time has come when steps should be taken to control the further construction of tourist camps along Ridgewood Avenue. Ridgewood Avenue is one of our tOi.rn 1 s most valuable asset sand '....e do not believe that it is to the best interests of our city, no\-! or in the future, if this high'\'!ay is permitted to be occupied almost solely by one type of business such ae tourist courts. From every standpoint, of business advantages, competition, future development of the town, beautification ?nd so forth, our town should be re-zoned as soon as possible so that this condition will be properly controlled. We therefore hope that you will tcl~e this matter up at your next meeting and arrange for an 8.mendment to our 7.oning lai'!s.
