The minutes of the regular meeting held March '24, 1948 were read. Councilman
Barker moved they be approved as read, seconded by Councilman Hussey and by
vote declared CARRIED.

Mr. ~vhson and Mr. Allen reported having made a study of the South .dastern
Building Co~e. Thoy find the Codo to compl~cated for a Town tho size of
Edgewater. The Council posponed nction on this Sode until the next regular
meeting, that they might have a report from all members of tho committee.
ORD[NANCES.
Tho public hoaring on a preposed Ordinance to ammend Ordinance No. 104 as
ammended so as to restrict the parking of trailers in the residential
dfistrict was held, The citizens present voted against the adoption of this
ord inance.

Attorney French uresented a nesolution designating certnin lots as a fire
haxxard and a nuisinnce. The question was asked Attorney French if this
procedure was necessary on all lots complained against.Attorney French stated
that it woulo be if the Town wished to avail itself of the rights granted
by Senate Bill No. 36Y.. Councilmn.n Hussey moved that this resolution be held
ever until the next regular mee~ing in order that all lots might be included
in this resolution, seconded by Councilman Barker and by vmto declared
CARRIED
.MTSCELLAN~OUS BUSINESS.
Councilman Hussey brought to the attention of the Council the condition of
tho ditch running from the railroad nmrth to the canal. Councilman Hussoy
claimed this ditch was badly in noed of boing cleaned. Council instructed
the Clerk to write Mr. ~. ~. Altman' Supervisor F. B. C. Railway and request
that this ditch be cl.Janed and the refuse br piled on the east bank to
form a dam.~U'-~}fttoi"
Deputy Sheri f Galbreath appeared before the Council at the invitation of
Councilman Barker, and talked 3n the traffio problom. He suggested that
the traffic light be lowered to 15 feet, slow signs to be painted on the
highway, and markers in the middle of the highway each side of the light
stating the apeod limit. Council thanked Mr Galbreath for his interset.
Councilman Barker moved that the traffic light bo tu~ned out until it could
ascertained from the State Raad Department if we could drop the light to
l5'feet, seconded by Councilman Hussoy and by vote declared CaRRIED
}~. R. G. Hionwald complained about the stump of a tree which had been
moved to a lot on merrimac Ave across from his property, by the Contractors
when they widened the Highway, Clerk reported having written the State
Road Departmont abopt this stump and thoy had promised to remove it but
nothing had been done to date. Council instructed the Clerk to write again
and call attention to this matter.
Councilman Bnrker moved we do now adjourn, secomded by Councilman Hussey
