READING OF MINUTES.
The minutes of the meeting held on ~ril 23,1947 were read,Councilman Matthews
moved they be approved as read, seconded by Counci~~n Hussey ~nd by vote
declared CARRIED.

Counci~~n Hussey moved these bills be approved as read as read, paid and be
made a part of these minutes, seconded by Councilman Matthews and by vote
declared CARRIED.
OFFICERS REPORTS.
Clerk read his Cash Statement and Statement of Budget Appropriations for the
period April 1st to 30th 1947. Councilman MAtthews moved these be approved
seconded by Councilman Hussey and by vote declared CARRIED.
In reply to a question by K'l.yor Lohm'l.n Clerk reported that the bill due the
Town of Edgewater by the County Commissioners had not been paid.
Councilman ~~tthews reported that the fence across Highland street had been
removed and the street was now open.
ORDINAnCES.
ORDIN~4.NCE NO. 148:. AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. l4~ OF THE TOWN OF
EDGEWATER, FIDRIDA.
The above ordinance was rend in full and passed by the unanimous vote of
the Town Council of the Town of Edgewater, florida at a regular meeting on
the 14th day of May, A. D. 1947
Upon motion duly ~'l.de, seconded and unanimously carried, the requirment of
reading said Ordinance upon second reading was waived, and this Ordinance
was ordered put upon its final passage.
Passed by the unanimous vote of the Town Council of The Town of Edgewater,
Floridn, at n regular meeting of said Council held this 14th day of M..'l.Y,
A. D. 1947, and approved as provided by law, the vote of said Council on
roll call being as follows:

MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS.
Building permits were approved Antonio Galanti and Walker Jones also a bus-
iness license to Harry Groce.
Mr. G.W.Mills a bad condition on the River road where the water collected
in ~ low spot in the road and drained thro the new fill into the river.
Mr Mills volunteered to remedy this condition with the help of the Stl'eet
Supervisor and the Town truck. 1~ Mills also ~eported that the chains on
the swings, in the play ground are old and badly rusted, and unsafe for
childcen to use. Councilman Hussey was nsked to investigate these matters.
Mr. Gonyeau brought up the fact that the light at the corner of :&'ernald and
H.ote~ Ave. had never been replaced and inquired, if something could not be
done. Mr.G6nueau also reported that the faucet at the flow well, at the foot
of Park Ave ,was out of orde~. And asked if this could nQt be fixed.
Mr Mills expressed the opinion that the pnrallel b,'1,rs, now laying in the
field cas t of the town hall, should be di sposed of as they are n:'menn.ce to
the children playing there. Clerk repoeted that :Nfr. Kerst had asked to buy
these bars, and the Council had agre('d to set n. price but had not, as yet
done so. Council agreed to accept Ten Dollars for these bars, ,and instructed
the Clerk ~o so notify Mr. Kerst.
There being no further bu~iness Councilman Hussey moved we do now adjourn,
seconded by Councilman Mn,tthews and by vote declared CARRIED. Time C;: 00 P.M
