Tho meeting was called to order by Mayar- Vouncilnmn Baumgartner
at 7.30 P.M.

The Mayor -Council:m.;;l.n Baumgo.:ttnor nddrossed the audience stating
that he as the newly npP2intcd Mayor xxx desired to serv~ the
people of tho town in c~ry wny possible and that any time night or
day hQ wus XHXX willing to oblige. The Mayor then gave to the voters
some information as to tho progress that had been mn.de in coming to
an ngreement between tho patties interested in the question of
Light and Power. for th~ to~n.
~hore followed other talks by members of the comittoQ on Light
and Power and th~ rates of tho Florida Light and Power Co. were rend
and ex::plninQd.
Attorn~y GillcspiQ asked that Special Counsel be retained to
represent the Town of Edge~ater in the negotiations for Light and
Power or thnt his rQsignation be accepted.
It was moved by Mnyoni Councilmnn Bnumgnrtner nnd seconded by
Councilman Putch that Attorney Gillespie's resignation be accepted.
By vote the motion was carried.

Mr. Robert Fcc then gave the meeting some facts as to what ~
difficulties might nrjisc in tho settlement of the Light and Power
~uestion and recommended to the Council that n Counsel bo engaged
at once to represent tho intoreasts of the ~own of Edgewater.
'l'he Mayor then thanked the audience for their interest and
attendance at the meetings.

that the meetin be adjourned. By vote unanimOUSly carried.
