It was moved by Counoilman Lohman and seoonded by Councilman Patch that the minutes ve approved as read. By vote the motion was unani- mously ot;t.rried. BILLS AND ACCOUNTS. Mr. F.R Renwick asked the Council to take action on the case of an outstanding Tax Certificate( No 546 of June 3,1943) whioh he holds against Lots 7,8& 9 Block 1 in Midway Park, Bridget Ferierra,owner. This property was not marked as delinquent on the Town of Edgewater Tax rolls of 1944 and 1945 as it should have been marked.Bridget Jerierra was allowed to pay the ourrent taxes for 1944 and 1945 by the town clerks in office during tho so yoars. seconded Councilman Lohman Moved and Councilman Patoh that the clerk bo instructed to oollect from Mrs..Bridget Feriorra the amount duo on this aforomentionod certificate,w~thout charging any costs or interest on aocount of the error made in this offioe. Attorney Mr. ..inston ~mith appeared beforethe Counoil in behalf of Mr.J.E.Wilkins~n, asking that Mr. Wilkinson' application for a building pormit,which had been tabled at a previous mooting of tho Council be anproved. Mr.,~mith stated that, in his opinion,the Council had no author- itYvto:wLtgold the issueance of said permit after it had been approv- by the Zonning Board and that the requirement of placing the building fourty feet back f~om the property line did not apply in this case. Mr. Smith offered to pay the fee for the permit whioh offer was refused by the Council. Tho Mayor instruoted the Clerk to make proceedings a part of the minutes. , ~. ~ u v J Pg. 2. Minutes of Regular Meeting July 24,1946. A~. Biroh asked the Town mo fill in the ditoh fronting his property in Highlans Shores. The lfuyor suggested that the Counoilmen inspeot the ditoh so as to find out which way the water runs. Capt. Soisooe reported that Webester's corner was dangerous to drivers on account of the heavy growthQOf brush at that plaoe. The M~yor . $l.ked the Street Supervisor to cut down the obstruction. Mr. Wells rOQuested that the crossing at the F.E.C. Railway on Park Ave. bo graded twenty or twenty five feet back so as to make the crossing less dangerous. The Council promised to investigate. OFFICERS REPORTS. Mayor Baumgartner reported that he had contacted tho State Highway Inspector and that tho Inspector promised to make repairs on the Dixie Highway in the near future. Marshall Thomas reported that ~~. Moore of New Smyrna Beach promises to replacethe faulty $treet Light Bulbs in Edgewater at an early date. The 1~yor instructed the Marshall to order new straps for the fire extinguishers whioh the Marshall roported as badly needed. Supervisor Moore reported that he had investigated the shell pit mentioned at the last regular meeting and that he found the shell unsatisfactory and difficult to dig. The Zoning Board was asked to investigete the case of the application for building permit of l~.R.C.Taylor.
