The meeting w~s o~lled according to Ordinance, for the purnose
of nreu~ring the Ballot 30x for the 3lection to be Hold November 7th,
1944.

the contents were removed and destroyed.

It waS re'Oorted to the Council that Mrs. Louisa ~. Haughton
had declined to serve as Clerk of ~lection; ,V.HEREUPON it wus properly
moved by Councilman Southard, seconded by Mayor Stalnaker, that ltrs.
Florence Swiney be designated as Clerk of inection. U')on votG, this
moti on CARlUED.
WHEREUPON Ballot Box No.2, with contents as above listed,
w~s insnected by Members of the Council and all uresent, and found to
be in proper order, and the sarne 'was properly sen.J.Gd and signed wi th the
signatures of the Councilmen and Town Clerk. '
,lliEP~UPON T~ following oath was administered to Mrs. Florence
Swiney by the Town Clerk. A copy of said oath is attached, and is made
a u~rt of those minutes.
. WHEID:UPON the said Ballot "Sox No. 2 pro-perly signed and sealed
~s aforesaid, with the key thereof, were delivered to Mrs. Swiney ~s
Clerk of Election and Custodian.
Thore being no further business to transQct ut this time, a
mmtion W'lS .in order for ~djournment. Motion was made by Councilman
Southard, seconded by M~yor Stuln~~er, that the meeting adjourn. U'Oon vote
this motion CARRIED, und the meoting adjourned at 8:25 P. M..
