~he Honorable Town Council,
Edgewater ,Florida.
Gentlemen:
At special ~eeting of Bo~d of Adjustment Bednesday
May 2,l945the fomlowing recomendation 1s made to Town Council for
their action:
1 --- Due to tMt, face t that school 1s out for the season and
upon inspection of the recreation ground we find it in a most de-
plorable condition, in fact, a disgrace to the Town of Edgewater
and therefore, recomand it be refitted as follows;
To install tw~ toilets complete w1th room for electric
pump in between them, septic tank etc. concrete bloCks to be used
for wl118~ using S. west corner of Barbecue bUilding of which no
expense of roof would be involved.
2____ To replace broken swing pole with galvanized pipe
3" in. diameter or larger. to replace May pole wi th galvanized
pipe 4" in diameter or larger, Bet in concrete , 201 long.
3 ___ By unamious vote of Board of Adjustment, we recomend
that Boating and fishing dOCk be constructed at end of Park AVe.
replacing the one destroyed by storm last fall. Dock to be 5501
long with ,- head 50' long and 121 wide throughout.
Tnis location is speCified in ordinance 104, of which is our guide
and also our approVal. Islands nearby give storm protection to a
dock in this location that was not available where the dock was
formerly.
Posts of the dock to be 8' apart and space under dOCk
to be rented to people of the community. The proceeds therefrom
to improve grounds and maintain dock. The Town of Edgewater being
a Municipali ty has an automatic priori t,y of AAI for lumber for
this purpose. CarefullY selected Palmetto to be used for piling
three in a row, 0' apart, X braces, tying and brac4ag each row of
posts. Also 50 Dollars for nails and bolts for Pier.
Present wire fence around Barbecue pit to be partially
removed so that shelter will be available without Climbing a wire
fence. Fencing t~ remain on 4 side of the pit ~6r safety of falling
in same. see- Saw board to be replaced on present stand.
