The Call for the meeting as rocorded in the minutes of the meeting of uouncil en held on October 20th, 1942, w~s read in full. The following citzens were present, Mabel Baumgartner, Annie L. Wipperman, T.J.Mullcn, and Paul D.Lcddin. A Resolution entitled, ftREoOLUTION" APPOINTING SUBSTI'fUTE CLERK OF ELECTION '1'0 SERVE A'r 'rEE A}n~"UAL TOWN ELECTION ON NOVEMBER 3rd, A.D. 1942. ft was read in full after the Town Clerk had advised Council that Olive K.Parker would be unable tQ serve as Ulerk of the Election ~oard. Uouncilman Sou~rd moved the adoption of the Resolution, seoonded by ~ounci man Stalnaker and adopted the vote of the Council being as follows; Mayor Councilman. Henry Stalnaker. ~es. Councilman. O.E.Southard. ~es. Councilman. George L.Bailcy. Absent. At~copy of the .resolution is attached and forms a part of these minutes. The Ulerk reported that no absentee ~allots had been voted. - . Ballot Box No. 1 was produced, the contents removed and destroyed. Whereupon Council proceeded to prepare ~allot ~ox .No. 1 for the Annual Election and placed therein the following; 1. 532 Official Ballots. 2. fhe Official Registration ~ook. 3. 2 ~ally Books. 4. 1 uertified list of Registered Voters. 5. 2 uopies uertificate of Inspectors and Clerk. 6. 1 Envelope for return of certificate 7. 1 Poll List. 8. 5 Pencils. 9. 1 Stick File. 10. 1 Strip of gummed paper. 11. 1 Piece of sealing wax. 12. 7 Seals. 13. 2 Envelopos for ~allot ~ox Keys. 14. 6 ~lanks ft Oath of Elector." 15. 3 Instructions to Elector. Vfuereupon ~allot Box .No. 1 properly marked for said election wastf~ked and sealed by uouncil and the Oath of the Custodian of the ~ox was a mttlistered to Mabel Baumgartner, Clerk of Election, tke Oath filed with the Town Clerk and ~allot Box .No.1 was delivered to Mabel Baumgartner together with the key thereof".
