READING OF MINUTES.
1'he minutes of the meeting of March 2nd, 1943 were read whereupon Counci~-
man Bai~ey moved that they be approved as read, seconded by Councilman
Southard and by vote dec~ared CARRIED. The record of the meeting of March
16th, 1943, at which no quorum was present was also read.

REPORTS OF OFFICERS.
The Clerks RepDrtof Budget Appropriations and a Cnsh Statement for the
month of .March was read in ful~.
Counci~ Bailey moved that these reports be made a part of these minutes
seconded by Councilman Southard and by vote declared CARRIED.
Mr. Bates and Mr. MOore filed reports for the month of March.
Mr. Bates also reported that several citzens ahd complained to him about a
dog nuisance at Evergreen Street and the Highway. ~he Mayor instructed Mr.
BatGs to eliminate this condition.
Mr. Moore reported a fiire hazard along Turgot Ave. due to a bad brush
condition. The Mayor instructed Mr. Moore to c~ear up this bad condition.
Mr. Gillespie.reported that he would report at the next meeting on the
present condition of the proposed Air Raid Alarm WhiBt~e.
Mr. Gil~espie read a ~ettcr which he had written Mr. Char~es McCormick in
rep~y to a ~etter from Mr. McCormick in which Mrs. Edith M.Bigelow claimed
that she held liens against lots which Mr. McCormick had purchased from the
Town of Edgewater.

A letter dated Apri~ 3, 1943 from P.B.Dick about cleaning around his house
and police prontection was read.
ORDINANCES.
A Resolution entitled,~ DECLARING lHE INTENfION OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF 1~
TOWN OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA, TO VACATE PARTS OF CERTAIN UNNAMED ALLEYS IN
SAID TOWN, .Am> PROVIDING FOR OOTlVE TO ABUTTING PROPERTY OWNERS." was read

Councilman Bailey moved the adoption o~ the Resolution, seconded by Council-
man Southard and adopted the roll call vote being as ~ollows;
Mayor Councilman. O.E . Southard. Yes.
Councilman. George L.Bailey. Yes.
Councilman. Henry Stalnaker. Absent.
A copy of the Resolution is attached and forms a part of these minutes.
:NE\V BUSINESS.
Mayor Southard reported that certain citzens were circulating a petition
for the Legisalture to abolish the Town of Edgewatcr.
Councilman Southard moved that tho Attorney prepare a petition forlcir-
culation which petition in substance wou14 request that no bilL be passed
of any kind ef'fecting the 'I'own of Edgewater, seconded by (.;ouncilman Bailey
and by vote decJlared unamiously CARRIED.
Councilman Bailey moved that we do now adjourn, seconded by Councilman
SouthaJ:d and by vote declared CARRIED. 'lime 8 & 7' P.M.
