READING OF MINUTES.
The minutes of the meeting of May 4th, 1943 were read, whereupon Council-
man Bailey moved that they be approved as read, second~d by Councilman
Sta~naker and by vote dec~ared CARRIED.

Councilman Stalnaker moved that these bills be approved, be paid and be
made a part of the minutes, seconded by Councilman Bailey and by vote
declared CARRIED.
OFFICERS REPORTS.
The Clerk reported no answer to the notice to clean lots given Mrs. Emma
C.Brady and that the 10 Days hnd eA~ired and the Marshall cpuld have the
lots cleaned.
~he Marshall reported that Mr. Henderson would take out a license for Camp
Pine Breeze.
Mr. Moore reported having hauled away refuse shingles from Womans ~lub in
accordance with instructions of Council. He:::also reported having to be
absent from his duties on account of Jury Duty. ~ouncil granted the necessary
short ~eave.
Mr. Bates and Mr. Moore filed time reports for May 1st to May l,th. Inclusive.
ORDINANCES.
~he ~acation of the South 2,0' of Live Oak Street was discussed and a petition
returned to property owners for further signatures.
NEW BUSINESS.
It was reported that the County Tax Collector had advertised for Sale Taxes
assessed on Lots 7 and 8, Wilkinson Sub. of Lot 16 G.A1varez Grant. It was
shown that the Town had used these lots for Municip~~ purposes since the
year 1925. Attorney Gillespie was asked to write~the ~ounty Tax Collector.

An application for a permit to keep hogs signed by E.T.Minton was refered
back to the Marshall for obtaining the consent of a property owner who
was away for the next two weeks. the Clerk was instructed to issue this
permit after this adjacent property owner had given his consent
!he attention of Uouncil was called to Slow Signs on the pavement of Ridge-
wood AVQ. and the need of repainting. the Council ordered that these signs
be repainted, the Ulerk to prouure the materials and Mr. Moore to do the
work with the Marshall in attendance to direct traffic.
Councilman Stalnaker moved that we do now adjourn, seconded by Councilman
Bailey and by vote declared Carried. time 8:45 P.M.
