Meeting called to order at 7:30 P.M. by Mayor Councilman Henry Stalnaker.

READING OF MINUTES.
Thc'minutes of the two meeting,s held on November 2nd, 1943 were read, whero~
upon Counci~~n Southard moved that they bc approved as read, seconded by
Councilman Stalnaker and by votc declared CARRIED.

Councilman Southard moved that these bills be approved,be paid and be made a
part of these minutes, seconded by Councilman Stalnaker and by votc declared
CARRIED.
OFFICERS REPORTS.
The Clerk read his finnnical reports for the month of Octobcr whereupon
Councilman Southard moved that they be made a part of these minutes seconded
by Councilman Stalnaker and by vote declared CARRIED.
The Marshall filed his report for Nov.lst to 15th inclusive. He also reported
that the CO,unty Health Officer was attending to the nuisance on Mrs. Frances
\'food property. '
COMMUlITCATIONS .
The Clerk read a letter from the Board of Adjustment dated Nov.cmber 1st,1943.
Councilman Southard moved that this report be accepted and that Mr. Paul D.
Leddin be granted permission to removc tree on Ocean Avc. in front of Mrs.
Dceren's property, seconded by Councilman Stalnaker and by vote declared
Carried. .
Councilman Southard moved that the Mayor be authorized to sign the release
requested by the United States Fidelity and Guaranty Company on Clerks Bond
expiring November 6th, 1943, seconded by Councilman Stalnaker and by vote
declared CARRIED.
The Mayor reported receipt of the Clerkts Bond covering the year November 6th
1943 to November 10th, 1944.

ORDINANCES.
Ordinance No. 121 entitled It AN ORDINANCE FIXING TliK TIME AND PLACE FOR
HOLDING ALL REGULAR MEETINGS OF THE TOWN COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF EDGEWATER,
FLORIDA." was read in full.
Councilman Southard moved that Ordinance No. 121 be passed upon first read-
ing, seconded by Councilman Stalnaker and by vote declared CAl\RIED.
Councilman Southard moved that the requirement of reading Ordinance No.121
on second reading be waived and that said Ordinance be placed upon final
passage, seconded by Councilman Stalnaker and by vote declared unanimously
CARRIED. . .

NEW BUSINESS.
Council ordered the Clerk to request New Smyrna to turn on Street Lights in
Edgewater after the Mayor and Clerk had prepared a list of lights to be
turned on. The traffic light at New Hampshire Ave. and the Highway to be
straightened and a light bulb replaced.
The Cab Doors of the truck were ordered lettered " Town of Edgewater. "

Council authorized the Clerk to order new nozzles for the Fire Fighters as
may be required.
Councilman Stalnaker moved that the Clerk pay the State and County Taxes on
Town owned lots in a"'1total amount of $200.97 less the discount for November
payment of $8.04 making a payment of $192.93, seconded by Councilman South-
ard and by voje declared CARRIED.
Council discussed the location of the Town of Edgewater sign on the Highway
at Hamilton Drive and decided that if M~. Mayabelle Lohman will p~ove,thru
proper survey,that the sign is on her property that they will order the sign
removed from her property.

The condition of Street signs was discussed and Mr. Thomas was orde~ to make
a survey and report on the number that needed repainting.
Counci~~n Southard moved that the bid o~ rr.R.Parker,contigent on his acquir-
ing adjacent property, in the sum of $300.00 for the purchase of Lot 35AA and
Lots 35\V to 35 Z Incl. and those portions of 35 0 to 35 V Incl. North of
Okecchobee Branch, Ass'rs Sub. of G.Alvarez Grant, be accepted and that the
Clerk accept an option payment of $10.00 which option will expire on February
1st, 1944, seconded by Councilman Stalnaker and by vote declared CARRIED.
Councilman Southard moved that we do now adjourn, seconded by Councilman
Sta~er and by vote declared CARRIED. Time 9:02 P.M.
