READING OF MIlroTES.
The minutes of the meeting of December 27th, 1943 were read, wher.eupon
Councilman Southard moved that they be approved as read, seconded by Council-
man Bailey and by vote declared CARRIED.
BILLS AND ACCOUNTS.
The following bills were read:

UNFINISHED BUSINESS.
Councilman Stalnaker moved that Mr. Wm. Bea.umont be awarded the work o~ paint
ing the Town Truck complete at his price of $30.00, seconded by Councilman
Sputhard and by vote declared CARRIED.

NEVI BUSInESS.
Councilman Stalnaker moved that the offer of T.C.Brown of $300.00 total for
purchase under contract for Lots 8 to 11 Inclusive, 13 to 20 Inclusive, all
in Block B, Section 1 of Highland Shores Sub., be accepted with a down pay-
ment of $75.00 the balance in three equal payments of $75.00 each payable in
4,8, and 12 months, and tlliat the Mayor and the Clerk are authorized to sign
a contract and a deed when said contract is completed, seconded by Council-
man Bailey and by vote declared CARRIED.
Councilman Bailey moved that the offer ot_U.R.P~rker, in the sum of $600.00
for lots 22, 26 ,27, 28 and 29, Block F,~lgh~afitl Shores Sub. be accepted
provided no further leins against these lots are found, seconded by Council-
man Stalnaker and by vote dec~ared CARRIED.
The Attorney was instructed to draw an Ordinance making the Salary of the
Street Maintainencc Officer $85.00 per month, set up the fees anowed in the
Mayorts Court and to repeal Ordinance No. 121 and change the regular meeting
nights to the 2nd and 4th ~ednesdays in each month.
The Clerk was instructed to write to the Honora.ble Alex. D.Littlefield,Sheriff
and request that our Tovm Marshall Mr. D.A'.Thomas be made a Deputy Sheriff
without compensation or Mileage.
Councilman Bailey moved that we do now adjourn, seconded by Councilman
Southard and by vote declared CARRIED. Time 8:30 P.M.
