Moore Present Present Present Present Present Present Present READING OF MINUTES Minutes of the meeting was made by Councilman Southard, the minutes be approved as read. of April 12th were read. A motion seconded by Councilman Bailey, that Upon vote, this motion CARRIED. BILLS & ACCOUNTS The following bills were read and presented: Whitney Hardware Co. $4.00 Central Service StatiDn 3.10 Gulf Oil Products 1.00 Motion was made by Councilman Bailey, seconded by Councilman Southard, that these bmlls be paid. Upon vote, this motion CARRIED. OFFICER'S REPORTS The road supervi~or and marshall subl]~itted reports, which were accepted. COMMUlIT CATIONS A letter from the Bank of New Smyrna was read whereupon Attorney J. U. Gillespie was instructed to communicate with the Bank regarding the Deposit by the Bank of Bonds to secure the Town accounts. A letter was also read from Attorney J. U. Gillespie; making application for re-appointment as Town Attorney for the ensuing year. A motion was made by Mayor Counci~~n Stalnaker and seconded by Council- man Southard, that this request be granted and the appointment made, at the same salary for services as had been paid heretofore. Upon vote being taken, this motion CARRIED. ImW BUSINESS The Clerk was authorized to have 500 Officer's Report Blanks and 500 Building Permit Applications printed ag Frank Lee's, and to order a box of carbon paper from the Office Supplies Co., Inc. of Daytona Beach. , The Tax List for Delinquent taxes for the year 1943 was sub- mitted, approved and accepted, upon motion made by Councilman Bailey seconded by Councilman Southard. By vote, this motion CARRIED. A question was discussed relative to obtaining a Safety De- posit Box at the Bank in New Smyrna Beach. The Council voted to obtain one of the small sized boxes if possible, and the Clerk was authorized to make such arrangements. There being no further business to transact, a motion was made by Councilman Bailey, seconded by Councilman Southardthat the meeting adjourn.
