Motion ~~do by Councilman Southard, seconded by Councilman Bailey, that these minutes b~ approved as read. Upon vote, this motion CARBlED. BILLS & ACCOUNTS The following bill was presented: New Smyrna Novelty Works $5.73 Motion was madQ by Councilman Bailey, seconded by Councilman Southard, thut this bill b~ paid. Upon vote, this motion CARRIED. OFFICERtS REPORTS The Supervisorts and Marshall's reports were presented and accepted. There wore no other reports from Officers. UNFINISmm BUSIlfESS The Clerkts resignation which had been tabled from thQ previous meeting was again brought up. After discussion, it was moved by Councilman Bailey, seconded by CounciLman Southard, that this resig- nation be tabled for ~nothcr month, with the suggestion that the Clerk cont~nue in office for the balance of the term if it could be so arranged. Upon vote, this motion CARRIED. . NEW BUSINESS Supervisor Mo~rc reported regarding the condition of tho long dock and inquired regarding children sWll~ng at the end of it. He was instructed by the Cow!cil to try and locate a suitable board which could ba used as a spring board, and in the. event one could be sccur'9d, to install it.,1und at tho swne time to tear down the diving platform as it was declared unsafe owing to the fact that tho posts had become rotten. He was also instructed to erect a sign to tho effect that the dock and spring board ~erQ to bo used at each personts own risk. There being no further business to come before the meeting at this time, a motion for adjournment was in order. Motion was made by Councilman Bailey, seconded by Counci~!mn Southard that thQ ~ct- ing adjourn. Upon vote, this motion CARRIED and the moeting ndjourn- <ad.at 8:35 l?
