Meeting called to order at 7:30 P.M. by Mayor Councilman Henry Stalnaker.

READING OF MINUTES.
The minutes of the meeting of Jan. 20th were read whereupon Councilman
Bailey moved that they be approved as read, seconded by Councilman
Stalnaker and by vote declared C_~IED.

REPORTS OF OFFICERS.
The Clerk read his reports for the month of January.
Councilman Bailey moved that these financial reports be approved and be made
a part of these minutes, seconded by Councilman Stalnaker and by vote decla~
ed CARRIED.
The Clerk reported the sale of Lots 1 and 2, Block A, Yelcka Terr. Sub. at
the price set by Council and that he had an appointment at Daytona Beach to
have the contracts signed.
The Marshall reported on work done on the Ocean Ave. Dock and that the in-
vestigation on a hog permit application had not been finished. Council
decided that the Clerk should issue the permit if the report was favorable
on account of the elapsed time since the application was made.
NEVI BUSINESS.
Councilman Bailey moved that the Mayor and the Clerk be and they are hereby
authorized to sign a deed conveying to George C.Burch the West ~ of Lot 6,
Block E, Section 1, Highland Shores Sub. Exclusive of that part of a twen~y
foot right-of-way for a drainage ditch now existing on part of said lot, for
a consideration of five dollars, seconded by Councilman Stalnaker and by . L
vote declared CARRIED.
Councilman Bailey moved that the Mayor and the Clerk be and they are hereby
authorized to sign a deed conveying to Houston P.Goodbread the East t of Lot
6, Block E, Section 1, Highland Shores Sub. Exclusive of that part of a
twenty foot right-of-way for a drainage ditch now existing on part of said
lot, for a consideration of five dollars, seconded by Councilman Stalnaker
and by vote declared CARRIED.

Councilman Bailey moved that we rescind that portion of a motion passed on
JIi/'lvf\~V' 2ol.ft, \942, to exchange the East 10 feet of lots 16,17 and 18, Block
A, Section Three, Highland Shores Sub., for the East 10 feet of Lots 19, 20,
21 and 22, Block A, Section Three,Highland Shores Sub., seconded by Council-
man Stalnaker and by vote d.eclared CARRIED.

Councilman Bailey moveg that the Mayor and the Clerk be and they arc hereby
authorized to sign a deed conveying to Horace King the East 10 feet of
Lots 16,17 and 18, Block A, Section three, Highland Shores Sub.for a cash
consideration of Twenty-five Dollars($25.00), seconded by Councilman Stal-
naker and bynvote declared CARRIED.
The Clerk reported to Council that the Board of Adjustment had met on Janu~
ary 28th and organized by electing E.A.Lembeck as Chairman and J.J.Ba~~ar~
nertas Secretary and had decided to meet regularly once a month on the
second Tuesday at nine in the morning.
Councilman Bailey moved that the code of Fire Signals adopted on November
18th, 1941 be discontinued during the duration af the war as they would be
confused with air raid signals, seconded by Councilman Stalnaker and by votE
declared CARRIED.
Former Mayor Renwick being present congratulated the Board on the enactment
of the Zoning Ordinance, the appointment of the Board of Adjustment and O~._ _
their organization.
Councilman Bailey moved that we adjourn, seconded by Councilman Stalnaker [: i
