The minutes of the special meeting of March 24th, 1942 were read whereupon Councilman Bailey moved that they be approved as read, seconded by Council- man Southard and by vote declared ~ARRIED. The ~lerk advised that -he had received two bids for supply,ing a used truck in relpy to the advertisement inserted in the New Smyrna ~ews under date of l~rch 26th, 1942. The Clerk was ordered to open the bids. These bids were as follows: Paxton Motors Inc., Dated ~~rch 30th R.R.Rush, Dated March 28th. The orginal bids are attached and form a part of these minutes. ~ouncilman Bailey moved that the bid of R.H.Rush be accepted for one used 1937 Chevrolet (Master.), 1 1/2 TonTruck,Stake Body, Model SD, 157 It Wheel Base, .!lfotor#T532 779, Serial #8~03-3364,with Dual Rear Wheels for the sum of ~345.00 which shaa1 be charged to the Street Fund, seconded by ~ouncil- manSouthard and b~ vote declared unanimously CARRIED. The Council authorized the Marshall to have two tires repaired. fhe ~lerk was instructed to open bids received from Grant Gonyeau and H.W. Hubbell for the Labor for building a garage. These bids are attached and form a part of these mi#utes. ~ouncilman Hailey moved that the order for Roofing and Paint be awarded to Grant Gonyeau at his bid of '56.27 F.O.B.Edgewater and that the Hid of H.yi. Hubbell for labor in erecting the Garage in the sum of ~45.00 be accepted, the ~lerk to notify both of the award, seconded by ~ounciln~n clouthard and by vote declared ~ARBIED. fhe Clerk was instructed to obtain further prices on materials and to buy such material from Edgewater firms if their prices and materials were better or equal to that furnished by outside concerns. ~ouncilman Soujhard moved that we do how adjourn, seconded by Uouncilman Hailey and by Vote declared CARRIED.
