READING OF MINUTES.
The minutes of April 21, 1942 and May 5, 1942 were read, whereupon Council-
man Southard moved that they be approved as read, seconded by Gouncilman
Dailey and by vote declared GARRIED.

Gouncilman Hailey moved that these bills be approved, paid and be made a
part of these m~inutes, seconded by Counci~~n Southara and by vote declared
GARRIED. It was agreed by Gouncil that ~5.00 extra be paid to H.W.
Hubbell for extra work on account of buildin~ doors in South side of garage
REPORTS OF OFFI CERS .
~he Mayor reported that he had been unable to see Mr. Poorbaugh.
fhe Glerk read his reports for the month of April.
Counci~ Bailey moved that these reports be approved and be made a part
of the minutes, seconded by Councilman Southard and by vote declared CARRIED.
An application made by David K.McGinnis to keep bees was read and refered to
the Marshall for a report. If no objectors were found the Glerk was in-
structed to issue a permit.
The Clerk reported having written Sidney H.'l'aylor, Exc" Estate of H.W.
Mitchell in reference to cleaning lots and receiving no reponsc and was in-
structed to write another letter.
ihe1Marshall reported that the work of Ditching had been started on Park Ave.
GOlOOJ'NICATIOlfS.
'llhe ftesignation of J.J .Baumgartner dated April 28,th, 1942 was read by the
Clerk. Councilman Haileymoved that the resignation of J.J.Baumgartner as a
melnber of the Hoard of Adjustment be acceptedand that the Glerk express by
letter to Mr. Baumgartner Council's appreciation of his service to the ~own,
seconded by Councilman Southard and by vote declared CARRIED.
Gouncilman Dailey moved that Mr. Paul D.Leddin be appointed as a member of the
Doard of Adjustment to fill the vacancy caused by the resi~nation of J.J.
Baumgartner,seconded by Gouncilman ~outhard and by vote declared GARHIED.

man Bailey and adopted the Roll Call vote being as follows;,

UNFINISHED BUSINESS.
Councilman Hailey moved that Council approve of the Clerk's action in the
signing of RATIN9 A-10 UNDER PERFERE1(CE RATING ORDER A..1ID TAX E...'{EMPTION CER-
TIFICATE i.EQ,UIRED IN 'l'HE PURCHASE OF SIX POLICE BADGES, seconded by Council
man Southard and by vote declared cARRIED.
Removal of certain tress on Riverside Drive and on Woodley Ave. was discuss~
ed but no action taken.
.NEW BUSINESS.
Councilman Southard moved that the Marshall use the Truck to collect waste
paper on the First(lst) and Z$fteenth (15th) of each month and that the ex-
penses of these operations be charged to the l!:mergency Fund of the l:3udget,
seconded by Uounci~~n Bailey and by vote declared unamiously CARRIED.
Councilman Southard moved that the l~rshall proceed with the cleaning of the
Lots on the tlighway, which have not been cleaned by the Owners and which lot~
have been posted, by first obtaining costs of cleaning, then submiting cost
to a committee, ( Councilmen Southard and Bailey.) for approval and an orde~
to go ahead, seconded by Councilman Bailey and by vote declared UARRIED.
Councilman Southard moved that we adjourn, seconded by Uouncilman Bailey and
by vote declared CARRIED. Time 9:16 P.M.
