COMMUNICATIONS The letter from Mr. Mitchell pertaining to the Commission making a recommen- dation on the remaining portion of Park Avenue up to wildwood was discussed. Mr. Nolan and Mrs. Cutrona suggested that the Commission wait until the Public Hearing is held before they make a recommendation on the remaining portion of land. Moved by Mr. Landry, seconded by Mrs. Griffith, and CARRIED 5-0, to not make a recommendation to Council until after the Public Hearing. NEW BUSINESS Mr. Nolan was present to ask the Commission to establish a Committee to study the possibility of annexing additional County property into the City which is part of the goals of the Comprehensive Plan. Mr. Nolan explained that the County is responsible for developing this land at present, and in the future when the City does annex, this land may not have been developed the way the City would have developed it. The plan is to annex to Adams Road, east and west of U.S. 1, west to Cow Creek Road. To accomplish this, the Commi- ssion must obtain maps, property owners names, draw up a petition, and have the people sign it. The concensus of the Commission was that this is a job that needs to be done. Mrs. Griffith suggested that the Commission work on this as a group instead of a small committee. Mrs. Griffith will obtain a plat book and Mr. Slaney will obtain aerial maps for the next meeting. The Commission agreed to send a letter to the City Manager and the Council asking for their support and staff administrative assistance in this task. The meeting was adjourned at 8:02 PM.
