ROLL CALL: Members present were: Mr. Jake Wheeler, Mr. George Quaggin, Mr. Fred Finn, Mr. James Mackie, Mr. Paul Loeffler, Mr. Billy Klein and Mrs. Nancy Blazi. Also present were Lynne Plaskett, Planning Assistant and Jan Morris, Secretary. COMPREHENSIVE PLAN: Mrs. Plaskett told the Board she had an answer from the County in regards to public hearings on the Comprehensive Plan. They had said three hearings must be held, one by Planning and Zoning after discussing each element and updating it, and two by the City Council. Those must take place after a ninety day waiting period for the first one and then another hearing after the plan is sent into the State agencies. The Council hearings must be held after 5:00 P.M. Mrs. Plaskett said the first thing the Board needs to do is set up a schedule for the workshop meetings. She added we need to schedule one element and go from there. Mrs. Blazi questioned if the Department heads would be able to attend the meetings. Mrs. Plaskett said the first six elements would be just the Planning Board then the Department heads would enter into the discussing of the Comprehensive Plan. It was decided the Board should have copies of the requirements and of the future land use map. Mr. Klein was excused from the meeting at 10:45 A.M. The Board decided to have workshop meetings on the Comprehensive Plan after the regular meetings and after the changes were made to the meeting times being once a month they would use the second meeting as a workshop on the Comprehensive Plan. They decided to start with element one "Goals for City of Edgewater" at the next workshop meeting to be held May 15 after the regular meeting. Mrs. Blazi made a motion to adjourn the meeting and Mr. Mackie seconded the motion. Meeting adjourned at 11:55 A.M.
