05-31-1977 Special ~ o o ZONING BOARD SPECIAL MEETING MAY 31,1977 A special meeting of the joint Zoning Board, Planning Board and the Board of Adjustments was called to order May 31, 1977 by the Zoning Board Chairman Robert Wolfe at 7:35 P.M. in the Shuffle- board Club House. Chairman Wolfe announced Mr. Millard felt there might be a conflict of interest and advised his members not to attend. One member was present. Planning Planning Planning 8/p.m. Planning Chairman Wolfe called on Mr. Earl Wallace to give his presentation. After that; Mr. Wallace said they are requesting a Special exception on I 2 property at Old County Rd. and W. Park Ave. to build an extended care nursery school, beauty salon, offices, and living space for his brother. Stan Wallace who will run the school. The nursery would be in an existing structure and the new structure would house office space on the first floor and living space on the second floor. Mr. Deitz asked if there was a sprinkler system in the nursery. Mr. Wallace replied, IINo, it is not required,1I Mr. Arthur Schilling spoke of the future widening of Park Avenue. Earl Wallace said it would be possible. Mrs. Alice Murphy suggested thatllup-gradingll should be legal for everyone and is certainly desirable. All agreed. Mr. Schilling suggested we extend B-6 to the F.E.C.R.R. Mr. Wolfe announced our next meeting would be June 7th when we will vote and make our recommendation to the Council on the new structure only. The nursery will be studied further by the Zoning Board. Chairman McCallister suggested reconsidering the zoning ordinance and said it might be we had too much industrial land for the size if the town. .. \ o o Mr. Jim Cameron~ 1716 Riverside presented his plans to build six houses on 2 lots at 1700 S. Riverside. The Zoning Board will study this at the next meeting. Mr. Taylor moved that we adjourn~ seconded by Mr. Higgins. Bonnie E. Turner Secretary
