MAY 17, 1977
Chairman Wolfe called the Public Hearing to order on May 17, 1977
at 7:45 P.M. in the Mayor's Office.

The minutes of the May 3rd and May 11th Meeting were read by
the members. Mr. Wiggins made a motion to accept these minutes,
Mr. Mackie made the second. CARRIED.
Chairman Wolfe stated that we will first act on Mr. Talks Auto
Salvage yard.
Mr. Yelvington gave a short presentation on Mr. Talks intentions.
Mr. Talks added to the presentation.
Chairman Wolfe passed the minutes of the Planning Board meeting
of April 12, 1977 around for the members to read.
Mr. Yelvington stated that he felt that the property they had
for the auto salvage yard was best suited for this type of business.
He went on to say that he felt that the City could use the investment.
Mr. Talks stated that he will create jobs for the people of
Edgewater.
Mr. Talks stated that he will comply with all regulations and rules.
Mr. Taylor asked that the motion that Mrs. Turner made last week.
to deny this request still stand. Mr. Mackie made the second.
CARRIED. 4-0
Mrs. Wadsworth was asked to read Mrs. Turner's absentee vote.
The vote was to deny the request.
A memo will be sent to the City Council advising them of this
action.
Mr. Earl Wallace and Mr. Stanley Wallace were put on the agenda
by Mr. Wolfe.
They were asked to give their presentation.
After much discussion. Chairman Wolfe stated that he felt that
the Planning Board and the Board of Adjustments should be in on
this. He asked that these two boardsbe notified of a meeting to
be held in the Shuffle board court on May 31, 1977 at 7:30. At
this time this will be discussed. And a recommendation will go
to the City Council.
Mr. Mackie made a motion to adjourn, Mr. Wiggins made the second.
