Zoning Board
January 4, 1977
Chairman Wolfe called the meeting of the Zoning Board to order on January
4, 1977 at 7:45 P.M. in the Mayor's office.

Mr. Wiggins made a motion to accept the minutes of the last meeting.
Mr. Mackie made the second. CARRIED.
Present at the meeting: Don Maserker, Charles Wheaton, William
Spanel, Charles Murphy, Mrs. Mackie, Paul Loeffler.
Mr. Wheaton wants to build a storage and office place on Hibiscus
and 21st. It will be built looking like a home. The members
of the board discussed his plans. Mr. Murphy would like to have
the approval of the Zoning Board that it would be acceptable in that
zone for storage. Mr. Wiggins made a motion that we accept the floor
plan and usage in this zone. Mr. Mack.ie made the second. CARRIED
3-0 For passing.
Mr. Spanel owns 6814-6816 on the corner of 26th and Hibiscus. He
would like to have a auto body shop on this property. This is zoned
B-2.. He would be doing mainly auto body shop. It will be a block
building. Mr. Spanel stated that there will be no aut~ stored on the
property. He will have a waiting line in the back of the building.
He will need a buffer zone. Mr. Mackie stated that this should go
to the Board of Adjustments. Mr. Wolfe suggested that we can make the
change and send it to the City Council, and the Planning Board.
Make a recommendation for setting up some of these in an ordiance
and send them to the Attorney for him to draw them up and then send
It to the City Council. This can be passed on a Resolution.
We want to make two unclassified business changes for B-2 One will
be auto repair shop (Body and Fender) the other mini storage buildings.
There will be a memo written up to go to the City Council concerning
this.
Mr. Loeffler stated that these are Shops~ot warehouses that are being
built. There was much discussion on these mini shops that are being
built in the City of Edgewater.
Mayor Armstrong entered the meeting.
There was some discussion on the way that the permits are priced.
The Building Official explained how these prices range on the Building,
Plumbing, Mechanical, and Electrical Permits.
Mr. Wiggins made a motion to adjournthe meeting Mr. Mackie made the
