ZONING BOARD
AUGUST 24, 1976
Chairman Wolfe called the Zoning Board regular meeting to order on August 24, 1976 at
7:40 P.M. in the Mayor's office.

Mr. Murphy, Mrs. Mackie, Mr. John Chisholm, Mr. Ross Sullivan, Mrs. Akeley were all present
at the meeting.
Mr. Wiggins made a motion to accept the minutes from the last regular meeting. Mr. Mackie
made the second. CARRIED. 3-0
There was no agenda for this meeting.
Chairman Wolfe stated that he will go to City Hall in the morning and find out when the
City plans to set up the Public Hearing for Mr. Sullivan and Mr. Blanken. Mr. Sullivan
and Mr. Chisholm were both present at this meeting. Their thoughts were that the Public
Hearing was set for this night.. Chairman Wolfe stated that he would try to get this
public hearing set up for Mr. Sullivan and Mr. Blanken. Mr. Wolfe stated that he would
try to set it up for the ninth of September. Chairman Wolfe thanked Mr. Sullivan and
Mr. Chisholm for coming tonight.
Mrs. Akeley was then introduced. Her reasons for being at the meeting was to find out
what she could build on the property she has near Orange Street. She showed the members
on a map where the property was located. Chairman Wolfe made a recommendation that Mr.
Murphy check out this property and if the development is 51% of this size lots to go
ahead and issue her the building permits.
Mrs. Turner entered the meeting. She stated that she did not rem~mbe~ .bhe-m~~n~ng~nd
that the girl in the office should keep trying when she does not get an answer.
The Board discussed ordinance 940 and 942 at great length. They would like to see 940
put back and ta~942 out.
Chairman Wolfe thanked Mrs. Akeley for attending the meeting.
There was some discussion on the sign ordinance. Mr. Wolfe told the board about the
sign the Fire Dept. plans to put in front of the Fire Dept. THis sign was discussed
and the board all agreed to putting this sign up.
Chairman Wolfe asked the members to look over the sheet that was attached to the
minutes. The Board did not see why this COuncil had passed this down to them to act
on. The sheet that was attached was a list of Occupational license that had P.O. Boxes
or residential address. There was nothing done on these.
Mr. Durham's application for an Occupational license was reviewed. There was nothing done
on this.
Mr. Wiggins made a
Mr. Mackie suggested that the Zoning Board write a letter to the City Council asking that
when the City COuncil has somthi ng for the Zoni ng Board t. act on that it be put in a
letter. Mr. Wiggins suggested that what Mr. Mackie ,d be put in a motion. Mr.
Mackie made a motion to this effect. r. y r m the second. CARRIED.
