BOARD OF GOVERNORS
REGULAR MEETING
MAY 14, 1981
Chairman Wolfe called the regular meeting of the Board of Governors
to order on May 14, 1981, in the board room at City Hall.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Mr. Nerber made a motion to accept the minutes of the April 9, 1981
meeting. Mr. McEver made the second. The motion CARRIED 4-0.
COMMUNICATIONS
Chairman Wolfe read a memo to Mr. Blazi along with the reply on the
repairs to the restroom at the Community Center and the kitchen sink repair.
This was for informrution.
Chairman Wolfe read a letter from the City Clerk to Mr. Laferriere on
the rent for the Community Center~ The Council voted to not charge
the Humane Society for the use of the Community Center.
OLD BUSINESS
Chairman Wolfe read the minutes from the April 20, 1981 Council meeting.
This was in regards to the passing of the By-Laws for the Board of Governors.
This was for information only.
Chairman Wolfe read the minutes from the same Council meeting concerning
the repairs to the shuffleboard courts. The Council approved these repairs
to be done. This was for information only.
There was some discussion on the proposed bike tract. Chairman Wolfe told
the board that Mr. Hardock is ,;working on the drawings for this bike tract.
There was some discussion on the Community Center Hall rental.
feeling of the board that a memo be sent to the Council asking
a letter comes to them that it should be sent to the Board for
actions and then it be returned to the Council with the boards
and then the Council take final action.
Chairman Wolfe asked that a memo be sent to Earl Copeland asking the Street
Department to take 2 yards of clay to the ball park and dump it at the North
West corner by the fence.

There was a long discussion on a type of security that could be used at the
ball park. Mr. Nerber suggested that it may be good to have a person stay
out there all the time. Chairman Wolfe stated that he would bring this up
at the next. Athletic Assoc. meeting and they can make the recommendation.
Chairman Wolfe also stated that some of the lights at the ballpark need to
be replaced. A memo is to be sent to Earl Copeland asking that this be done.

Mr. McEver asked that a copy of the ,'.financial statement be brought to the
next meeting.
Chairman Wolfe asked if the money for the second ball fi~ld had been
appropriated. The secretary stated that it had been.
OLD BUSINESS
Mr. McEver asked that a copy of the Edgewater's insurance be sent to the
school so that they may have an idea of the coverage. The secretary
stated that this would be done.
Mr. King asked that the financial disclosure forms be brought to the
next meeting. The secretary stated that they will be brought to the next
meeting.
There was some discussion on the parking at the park and pier. The
signs were discussed. Mr. McEver stated that the signs that were out
there now are not regulation signs and that they were not being enforced.
Mr. McEver made a motion to adjourn. Mr. Nerber made the second. CARRIED.

MEMO FROM: Edgewater Board of Governors
SUBJECT: Rental use of the Community Center
At our regular meeting of May 14, 1981 the Board discussed
the rental use of the Community Center. It is the feeling of
the board that our by-laws state under article III DUTIES
OF THE BOARD that we should recommend usage and schedules
for the community center. We feel that the Council should
ask us for our recommendations before making any final
decisions on this usage.
