CONTINUED BUSINESS:
Brochure Updat~ by Rill Gl~ason Mr. Gleason stated LMN
Printing would do all the printing of the brochure at cost. Mr.
Martin said, perhaps we should look into printing on a quality
paper as he is satisfied with LMN Printing pricing. Mr. Martin
also said he would like a few copies run off to show the Board in
August and make a commitment at that time.
UpdAte of P.I.D. - Mr. Martin discussed the letter of June 10,
1991 from Acting City Manager, Ferdinand Munoz to Thomas Kelly,
Manager County of Volusia. Mr. Munoz requested the County's
assistanc~ in conducting an environmental investigation to
evaluate the amount of net buildable area on the site. Mr.
Kelly's reply, dated June 19, 1991, stating he is delighted to
see that Edgewater is making some progress in this area and will
do everything in their power to h~lp. He is asking Steve Kintner
to be the direct contact for the Board.
A motion was made by Mr. Hanson to give Joe Hopkins permission to
go to Steve Kintner for his assistance with the P.I.D. Seconded
by Mr. Gleason. Motion CARRIED 6-0.
Mr. Martin said he has spoken to Jack Corder, Director of Parks
and R~creation and asked him how many acres are required to build
a golf course.

Mr. Martin said Mr. Hellsten and Mr. Koch would be a good team to
come up with an analysis of a golf course in the P.I.D. area.
Mr. Martin presented "Concept One" to the Board members, which is
a breakdown of expenses for a proposed research park, industrial
park, municipal golf course and municipal pool and tennis courts
for their review and comments.
The need for an ombudsman was discussed and Ms. Swiney stated she
will be glad to act as ombudsman and bring an exchange of
information to the Board from the Chamber of Commerce.
