EDGEWATER, FL 32032 CITY .OF EDGEWATER INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT BOARD SPECIAL MEETING MONDAY, MAY 22, 1989 CONFERENCE ROOM, CITY HALL 6:30 P.M. Mr. Hanson, Vice Chairman, called to order a special meeting of the Industrial Development Board at 6:30 p.m., in the Conference Room of City Hall, Monday, May 22, 1989. Members present Mr. Hanson. Mr. absent. were, Mr. McClain, Mr. Azzarello, Mr. Boyce Baldwin, Mr. Martin and and Mr. Richards were Also present were, Jim Reichardt of Volusia County Business Development Corporation and Sandra Meager-Pengov, Secretary. Mr. Hanson turned the meeting to Mr. Martin who discussed a letter prepared for the Mayor and City Council. The purpose of the meeting was for Mr. martin to inform the Board of a manufacturing company that produces small aircraft and aircraft components that is in need of approximately 20 acres for production space with airport accessibility, possibly in the 180 Reserve Area. The two main concerns of the company are whether the City of Edgewater will be able to provide water and sewer facilities in sufficient time to accommodate plant construction. And, will an aircraft manufacturing plant be welcomed by the community. After discussion the Board was in agreement to present the letter to the Mayor and City Council. Mr. McClain made the motion to have Mr. Hanson sign the letter, seconded by Mr. Baldwin. Mr. Martin attached a map of the 180 Reserve Area that identified the intended area the manufacturer may desire to purchase. There being no further business to come before the Board, Mr. Baldwin moved to adjourn, seconded by Mr. Martin.
