August 6, 1987.)
The Board discussed where the function would be held. At the last
meeting the Board decided the Yacht Club was first choice, followed
by the Islander and Sugar Mill. Mrs. Middleton stated the Yacht
Club was booked, but the Islander was available. She added the menu
selection was liver, chicken, fish or salad plate. The breakfast
would be danish, donuts, juice, tea and coffee. The Board discussed
possibly lowering the cost of $8.70 per person, by having only do-
nuts and coffee. Mrs. Middleton stated she would check into it.
Mrs. Baker stated she would get a letter of participation from Oak
Hill and the Chamber and asked Mr. Ross to get a letter from the
City of New Smyrna Beach.
There was discussion regarding appreciation awards to be glven out.
There was a small discussion regarding the term remanufacturing.
Southern Instruments falls into that catagory and will get an
invitation to attend the seminar.
Mrs. Baker aksed Mr. Ross to bring a list of the City Commission of
New Smyrna Beach, and Mr. Hardester volunteered to make any needed
phone calls to make sure the proper people from industry were invited
to the seminar.
The Board discussed approximately how many people they could expect.
It was decided it would be not more than eighty-five (85), but res-

Mr. Racca was assigned the task of taking care of the proclamations
and getting the Mayors together with the Chamber for the newspapers.
Mr. Hardester stated he had not heard back from ABC regarding TV

they would be interested. Mrs. Middleton informed Mrs. Baker of
the "Open Mike" sessions on WSBB and Mrs. Baker agreed it would
be good publicity and a way to invite industry to the seminar.
