Industrial Appreciation Week: The Board continued discussion
from the meeting of July 8, 1987, regarding where to have the

volunteered to check into the Elks Club and the Yacht Club,
since Mr. Richards was not able to. Mrs. Baker stated Mr.
Richards had checked with Mr. Gold of the Elks Club, but had
not received an answer, before he went on vacation.
Mrs. Baker said she would get in touch with the Chamber to see
if they would handle a letter of invitation and name tags for
the function.

There would have to be a break around 11:30 to allow for the
lunchoen set up.
There was some discussion about the approximate number of people
to expect at the affair. It was decided to limit the guests to
industry and manufacturers with ten (10) or more employees.
Mrs. Baker stated there would be an ad run in the newspaper as
an invitation and the R.S.V.P. would be handled through the
Chamber, along with the letters of invitation so no one was
missed.
Mrs. Baker felt the press shoud be doing articles on a daily
basis regarding local industry during Industrial Appreciation
Week. She added that during the affair all three (3) Mayors
should give their proclamation and there should be photos for
the newspapers with the Mayors, Chairmen of the Industrial
Boards and Chamber together, showing the joint effort.
Mr. Racca moved to have the affair Wednesday, September 16, 1987,
seconded by Mr. Andrew. Motion Carried 4-0.
Mr. Racca felt at the next meeting the Board should prepare a
