Q o CITY OF EDGEWATER Industrial Development Board Meeting August 5, 1~82, 7:00 p.m. t.,; nutes Mrs. Massey called the meeting to order at 7:08 p.m. in the conference area of the Community Center. ROLL CALL Members present: Mrs. Massey, Kane, Middleton; Messrs. Schneider, Sawyer and Siciliano. Excused: Messrs. Poland, Foleno, Gnau. Absent: Mr. Faidley. Also present: Mrs. Taylor, Secretary, and one member of the press. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Moved by Mr. Sawyer, seconded by Mr. Schneider, and UNANIMOUSLY CARRIED, to approve the minutes of the July 1, 1982 meeting. OLD BUSINESS Michael L. Bobroff, Department of Commerce, Development Representative, State of Florida, and Mr. Bagley, Representative from the Florida East Coast Railroad Co., scheduled to speak at the meeting, have both postponed their visit until the September 2 meeting. Mrs. Massey mentioned that she would be meeting with Mr. Bobroff on August 23 to show him the Edgewater area. Mrs. Middleton gave the members information about the availability of a list obtained from the University of Florida, which would provide 5,000 names of prospective industries for a cost of $600. It was agreed that nothing would be done at this time about obtaining mailing lists, until after the meeting with Mr. Bobroff. r~rs. Massey advised the members that the IlPreparing for Gro~./th Seminarll It/as scheduled for September 20 and 27, and urged the members to attend. She mentioned that Mr. Bill Dodd, Industrial Representative for New Smyrna Beach, recommended that members attend both meetings. The proposed zoning on Park Avenue was discussed; members said they would make an effort to be present at the Zoning Commission meeting scheduled for August 23. It was noted that the Zoning Commission is presently reviewing the Zoning Ordinance terminology. It was felt that the Industrial Development Board should attend a workshop meeting with the Zoning and Planning Commissions to discuss the Code as it pertains to Industrial property and give their input.
