Also present: Debbie Winks, Secretary APPROVAL OF MINUTES Moved by Mr. Molster, seconded by Mrs. Massey, and UNANIMOUSLY CARRIED, to approve the minutes of 2/4/82 as submitted. COMMUNICATIONS Mr. Bagley's (FEC) letter was read and discussed by the Board. They are willing to attend a future meeting to discuss the promotion of industrial sites. Mrs. Massey stated that we should be sure that we are firm on what we want before we invite FEC to a meeting. Mr. Breuilly noted that this was discussed at a previous meeting and that the Board needs to know exactly where it stands as to what they can and cannot do. He feels we need to firm up our position, have rapport with other Boards and be recognized that we are going to bring industry into the area. Moved by Mr. Brueilly, seconded by Mr. Zigmund, and UNANIMOUSLY CARRIED, to invite a representative from FEC to the April 1, 1982 meeting. OLD BUSINESS Mr. Molster noted that he had checked with Multigraphics on the advertising brochures. For black and white, four fold, both sides, the price is $1200 for 5,000 and 10,000 for $2,000+. Multigraphics told him that New Smyrna had a firm in St. Petersburg, Tampa area do their color brochures. These were three fold, color and the price was 4~ apiece. It was decided that a special meeting would be held for the purpose of discussing advertising, after more information is available. Mr. Brueilly posed some questions as to who the Board reports to, to whom the Board is responsible, how much money do we have available in our budget, and what is the procedure for spending this money. The Board agreed to invite Mr. Mitchell to the next special meeting to clear up these items. The form letter that is to be sent to the realtors requesting information on industrial property or buildings available in Edgewater was discussed. It was suggested that Florida Power may have some information on industrial land available. Mr. Breuilly volunteered to be the coordinator for this effort. The secretary presented a letter received from USI Properties showing industrial land available south of the City. A new file will be set up for this type of information. It was suggested that the form letter state that all replies should be made in writing together with a statement that the information received will be kept confidential by the Industrial Develop- ment Board. It was decided that all realtors in New Smyrna Beach and Edgewater be contacted by this form letter. Mrs. Massey noted that she had not put a news article in the paper as voted on at the last meeting, first of all because there was a real good article in the paper right after the last meeting, and also because she felt this should be cleared through the City Manager. The meeting was adjourned at 8:30 PM. Minutes submitted by: Debbie Winks o o. Date v~~ / 11 . -0 l,g--O .
