APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Mr. Brogan made a motion to approve the minutes and Mr. Kane seconded
the motion. The motion CARRIED 7-0.
COMMUNICATIONS
Chairman Siciliano read a letter from City Clerk Nancy Blazi
regarding attendance at Board meetings and the expense to the City.
He stated the Industrial Board members were very good about attendance
and always had a quorum for their meetings.
OLD BUSINESS
Mr. Siciliano read his letter of appreciation to Jean Brown regarding
her resignation from the Board. He requested the Board members submit
names for anyone they had in mind so they in turn could be submitted
to the Council for a replacement.
Mr. Siciliano read his letter of appreciation to the Council on
behalf of the members of the Board for the nice dinner at the Elk's
Lodge on September 12th.
Mr. Siciliano discussed the letter received from Means & McGinnis
regarding any industrial sites available in this area. He stated
he would like to send inquiries to the various real estate brokers
in the area regarding industrial sites, however he feels it would be
better to wait until the PID details have been established.
The PID was discussed. The Attorney and City Clerk are presently
working on contacting abutting property owners, then a map will be
published in the paper and a public hearing will be set. It was
discussed whether to wait until after the first of the year when
the new Council has been established, or to proceed with the
recommendation to the Council for the public hearing.
Mr. Kane made a motion to recommend to the Council to proceed with
the public hearing and set a date before the first of the year.
Mr. Witzig seconded the motion. The motion CARRIED 7-0.

Advertising for new industry for the Edgewater area was again
discussed. A brochure from the News-Journal was displayed.
Mr. Witzig presented an out-of-state newspaper with advertising
rates. He also presented slides of various businesses, churches,
houses and recreational features in the area for possible use in
a future brochure.
Mr. Siciliano requested various magazines be brought again to next
months meeting for the Board members that were absent to take a
look at. He feels it would be helpful to contact certain businesses
by personal letter to their executives to find qualified industry
that might be looking for a place to relocate.
Ms. Massey suggested working with the Chamber of Commerce at
Tallahassee because they receive inquiries for possible industrial
sites.
NEW BUSINESS
Mr. Siciliano presented a sample of the new letterhead for the
Industrial Development Board to use for all future correspondence.
This new stationery contains the Edgewater seal.
BOARD COMMENTS
Mr. Kane asked about the FEC and if they had been in contact with
the City regarding the kind of industry permitted in the new PID
proposed land. He questioned the proposed site abutting property
owners and if they had been contacted.
There was further discussion regarding
