2009-R-07 RESOLUTION NO. 2009-R-07 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDGEW ATER, FLORIDA; REQUESTING THE ST. JOHNS RIVER WATER MANAGEMENT DISTRICT TO REDUCE PERMIT APPLICATION FEES; REPEALING RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND EST ABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City of Edgewater, Florida, has made the following determinations: 1. The City of Edge water, Florida is a municipality with a population of25,000 persons or less. 2. The City of Edgewater, Florida further certifies that it qualifies for permit processing fee reduction for Fiscal Year October 1, 2008 through September 30, 2009 due to one or more of the following factors: a. Per capita taxable value is less than the statewide average for the current fiscal year; and b. Percentage of assessed property value that is exempt from ad valorem taxation is higher than the statewide average for the current fiscal year. 3. The above-listed factors are supported by the statement from the State of Florida, Department of Revenue dated December 12,2008 (which is attached hereto and incorporated herein as Exhibit "A"). NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council ofthe City ofEdgewater, Florida: Section 1. That the City of Edgewater does hereby request that the St. Johns River Water Management District reduce the permit application fee for public purpose projects for which the City of Edge water is a permit applicant to a fee of one hundred and nolI 00 ($100.00) per permit, or ifthe current permit application is less than one hundred and no/lOO ($100.00) by fifty percent (50%), for the Fiscal Year beginning October 1, 2008 and ending September 30, 2009. Section 2. All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith be and the same are #2009-R-07 1 hereby repealed. Section 3. This resolution shall take effect upon adoption.
