B. 81-R-81 Special Ta~k Force - Recreation'Needs This task force is designed to assess recreation needs as a part of comprehensive planning. . The phrase in the second "whereas" paragraph relating to costs and 'fees has been deleted, as the purpose is to study recreation needs rather than recreation financing. It is also intended that this Council committee will replace the Zoning and Planning Board committee, and the appointees are, therefore, memoers of the Zoning and Planning Board, the Board of Governors, and key staff people. The resolution notes that this "Board shall work in consultation with the Board of Governors." .' .~ Q O Explanatory Data , December 21, 1981 Page two 6. The street light committee as such would be replaced by staff purview (at weekly staff meetings) although: individual councilmen would still have direct access to the process. F. 81-0-45 Police Fines and Forfeitures/Education Fund At the last meeting you discussed police fines and a police education fund. Briefly, the question is one of getting one dollar from each of the fine "costs" to be devoted to police ec;lucation--this is a widespread practi,ce in the State of Florida, but requires your official action.
