The Board felt that this was too restrictive for the shopping center area. The Board granted this variance, which is technically a violation of the sign ordinance. Colite Industries has been notified to wait until this matter is clarified. Council may wish to consider deleting the sentence in Section 3.9 which states: IINo variance for maximum allowable display area shall be granted. II 2. Planning Commission - Request .to Rescind Appointment The Chairman of the Planning Commission has requested to be allowed to personally deliver this letter to each Council member prior to the meeting. 6.C. Community Development Block Grant We have been informed that a letter should be forthcoming prior to the meeting. l.A.B. 83-R-21 and 83-R-22 Appointments to Zoning Comm. & Civil Defense These are follow up action from the last Council meeting. 83-R-23 The assessment rolls will be ready in the City Clerk's office. 83-R-24 We have to notify the property owners within ten days of the public hearing and we could set the public hearing for March 9th. 8.C.D.E. Community Center Usage, Re-establishment of Board of Governors, Shuffleboard Maintenance These items were listed at the last Council meeting. The information was given to you previously. 9.A. Appointing Member to Board of Adjustment We have no current applications for this Board specifically, however, Paul Henry has indicated a willingness to serve on any board. B. Appointing Member to Planning Commission Current applicants for the Planning Commission are: Walter Gross, James Mackie, and Vincent Turano. The City has received no further applications from other people willing to serve on boards.
