CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Schmidt called the special meeting regarding pending
litigation in the matter of Noni Warrell and city of Edgewater to
order at 6:03 p.m.

Mayor Schmidt stated as previously noticed on December 13, 1999,
the Interim city Attorney requires advice concerning the Warrell
lawsuit. City Attorney Clayton stated she is asking for the
special meeting to discuss, according to the Statutes, matters
pertaining to this lawsuit, upon which she needs advice.
Mayor Schmidt stated the private session with the Council in
reference to this matter will begin in the City Hall conference
room following these introductory comments. The session is
expected to last approximately 1 hour at which time the Council
will return to this room to close the special meeting.
Mayor Schmidt stated the names of the persons who may attend the
session are as follows: Mayor Schmidt, Councilman Brown,
Councilman Vincenzi, Councilwoman Rhodes, Councilwoman Lichter,
City Manager Kenneth Hooper, City Attorney Nikki Clayton and
Attorney David Kornreich.
Mayor Schmidt stated now we will adjourn for the private session
in the city Hall conference room.
When Council returned, Mayor Schmidt stated this Special Meeting
of the city Council shall hereby be reopened to announce the
termination of the private session regarding the matter of
Warrell v. City of Edgewater. The time is now 6:45 p.m.

city Attorney Clayton asked if council has any direction.
Mayor Schmidt thinks they are all in agreement that they would
like to put this on the agenda and open it up for a public
hearing. City Manager Hooper stated they would place on the
January 3rd agenda, the information from the special meeting and
that will be conducted in a public hearing.
Mayor Schmidt closed the Special Meeting and informed Council
they would return at 7:00 p.m. for the regular meeting.
