CALL TO ORDER
Chairperson Linda Johnson called the regular meeting of the Citizen Code
Enforcement Board to order at 2:00 PM in the Community Center.
ROLL CALL
Members present: Linda Johnson, Alice Haldeman, Glenn Barnhill, Ed Corn, Ben
Wagner, Gail Anderson and Sherry Lester. Also present were Code Officers
Robin Bell and Mike McGrath, Code Supervisor Angela Desue, Board Attorney Ty
Harris and Board Coordinator Tabitha Russell.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
The Minutes for the regular meeting of June 25, 2009 were presented to the
Board for approval. MOTION bv Ed Corn. SECOND by Ben Waaner to
adopt the minutes of the Reaular Citizen Code Enforcement Board
meetina on June 25. 2009 as written. MOTION CARRIED

There was a consensus among the Board to move Continued Case # 2009-CE-
1027 and New Case # 2009-CE-5078 to the beginning of the agenda as both
parties were present for the hearing.

Case # 2009-CE-1027, 1901 Juniper Dr., Edgewater, Florida: Edward Akam.
Violation of Section -21-36.09 (CanopiesfTemporary Carports).
Mr. Harris distributed a memo to the Board members from Attorney Ciocchetti
regarding the status of the lawsuit. There was discussion amongst the Board
and Mr. Harris. Mr. Akam stated he would be happy to notify the Board of the
status of the lawsuit on a regular basis.
MOTION bv Alice Haldeman. SECOND bv Ed Corn to continue the case
until the October 14. 2009 meetina. The Board would like an uodate
reaardina the status of the lawsuit at that time. MOTION CARRIED

Case #2009-CE-5078, 316 S. Ridgewood Ave., Edgewater Florida: Edgewater
MHP, LLC. Violation of Section 21-34.05 (Refuse and Dumpsters).
Code Supervisor Angela Desue presented the case summary to the Board. Code
Supervisor Angela Desue presented staff's recommendation to find Edgewater
MHP, LLC in violation of Section 21-34.05 of the Land Development Code
assessing a citation fine of $75.00 and an additional fine of $100.00 per day each
day the violation exists past August 14, 2009 and for a lien to be placed on the
property if not satisfied by August 19, 2009. This case was worked and
managed by Code Officer Mike McGrath. Randy Reenis testified that there is no
management at this location and that they did not receive their notice of
violation until mid July. He requested an extension until September 30, 2009 to
come into compliance.
MOTION bv Ed Corn. SECOND bv SherrY Lester that the Board finds
Edaewater MHP, LLC in violation of Section 21-34.05 of the Land
Development Code and aarees to waive the citation fine and additional
fine until Seotember 30, 2009. If at that time they are not in
comoliance. then the citation fine and additional fine will start as of

Ringlehan. Violation of Section 10-83 (Neglected Premises).
Code Supervisor Angela Desue presented the case summary to the Board. Code
Supervisor Angela Desue presented staff's recommendation to find Charles
Ringlehan in violation of Section 10-83 of the Code of Ordinances assessing a
citation fine of $75.00 and an additional fine of $50.00 per day each day the
violation exists past August 14, 2009 and for a lien to be placed on the property
if not satisfied by August 19, 2009. It was also recommended that the Board
issue a Board Order requesting the City Manager approve the removal of debris
by City staff if the violation is not corrected by August 14, 2009 and that a lien is
placed on the property. This case was worked and managed by Code Supervisor
Angela Desue. No one was present to testify.

There was discussion regarding the nomination of a vice-chairman. Ms. Johnson
stated that according to the By-Laws of the Board, the Chairman and Vice-
Chairman shall be elected at the annual organizational meeting in the month of
September.
