02-17-2010 CITY OF EDGEWATER ANIMAL CONTROL BOARD MEETING February 17, 2010 7:00 PM Leisure Services Office, 1108 S. Ridgewood Ave. MINUTES ROLLCALL/CALL TO ORDER Chairwoman Donna Wagner called the February 17, 2010 meeting to order at 7:10 p.m. in the Edgewater Leisure Services office. Members present were: Donna Wagner, Mary Wenderoth and Karen Mason. Dr. Vanis and Jamie Young were absent. Also present was Barb Kowall, Board Coordinator. APPROVAL OF MINUTES Karen Mason made a Motion to accept the minutes from the May 20, 2009 regular meeting, Seconded by Mary Wenderoth. Motion CARRIED 3-0. Karen Mason made a Motion to accept the minutes from the November 11, 2009 Dangerous Dog Hearing, Seconded by Mary Wenderoth. Motion CARRIED 3-0. NEW BUSINESS Election of Chairman and Vice Chairman for 2010 Karen Mason made a Motion to retain Donna Wagner as Chairwoman and Mary Wenderoth Seconded the motion. There were no other nominations and the vote was 3-0 to retain Donna Wagner as Chairwoman of the Animal Control Board. Karen Mason made a Motion to retain Dr. Vanis as Vice Chairman and Mary Wenderoth Seconded the motion. No other nominations came forward and Dr. Vanis was retained as Vice Chairman in a 3-0 vote. Chairwoman Wagner asked if there was any other new or old business. There was none. Mrs. Wagner stated since the Council's passage of Chapter 5, that the Board had worked on the past years, there wasn't much for new agenda items, with the exception of any future Dangerous Dog Hearings that may come up. Mrs. Wagner stated the next meeting would be in August, as the new by laws were changed to meet semi-annually. ADJOURNMENT There being no further business, Karen Mason made a Motion to adjourn, Seconded by Mary Wenderoth. The Motion CARRIED 3-0.
