GERARDS PARKING LOT EXPANSION TRC MEETING 01/09/02 IN ATTENDANCE: Tracy Barlow, Fire Chief Darren Lear, Chief Planner Harry Wild, P.E. for applicant Hans Wolfer, P.E., City Engineer Pat Drosten, Planning Technician Planning Department • Per the letter dated September 12, 2001, the driveways crossing the culvert must be at least 14' in width. The driveways shall also be hard compact shell and capable of supporting the weight of emergency vehicles (approximately 40,500 pounds of gross vehicle road weight). These requirements must be addressed on the site plan. There is 18 inches of compact sheet, which meets FDOT load requirements. Will show on plan. • Indicate the overflow - parking layout on the site plan. Will show on plan. • Driveways shall be clearly marked "Entrance Only" and "Exit Only" and shown as such on the revised site plan. Will show on plan. • The site plan must show the destination of the proposed stormwater runoff. Will show on plan. Building Department • No comments on this plan. Environmental Services • The size and type of culvert is not identified on the plans. The culvert needs to be sized correctly and, with the culverts being driven over. I would recommend them to be concrete pipes. Pipes are existing corrugated metal. Will show on plan. Fire Department • It appears the one -way entrance into the parking lot does not meet the minimum 20 feet width as required by NFPA 1, section 3 -5.2. Revised comments stating that it appears this project meets the requirements of all applicable codes and standards. Legal Department • No comments City Engineer • Plan must show size and material of new culverts, and the length of each. Culverts are existing, pipes are corrugated metal. Will show on plan. • Drainage computations must be submitted for the design of the culverts. Specs were provided. • Specifications required on the retaining wall: • Length of wall • Top elevation of wall • Number of log bolts and length • Spacing of posts. Will show on plan. • If no endwalls are noted, then a cross - section of the culverts must be shown with slope of bank. Will show on plan. Written response to these comments are required with submittal of seven (7) sets of revised Site Plans.
