.....
Councilperson Gillespie asked that page 9 be looked over. She
then discussed page 32, 7.03D. She stated it should read 5% not
4% as per the union contracts. She asked that being paid every
two weeks be looked into administratively. She stated on page 55
she asked city Manager McMahon and City Attorney Storey to go
over payment of hospitalization and coverage for certain
dependents.
city Attorney Storey spoke on the proposed personnel advisory
committee. She also spoke about city employees getting paid
every two weeks.

increase due an employee who is promoted. They either move to

union contracts.

There is language in the manual regarding ex-spouses or children
and they need to take a closer look at this.
Councilman Jones asked what the rationale would be changing from
weekly to every two weeks.
Councilperson Gillespie stated financially this is the better
method. She stated the public is upset seeing our people in the
banks every Friday.
Councilperson Martin stated they need to look at the employees
point of view.
Councilman Hays stated there could be cost savings but before
they do that they would need to make sure this was not going to
be a hardship on any of the employees.
Councilperson Gillespie made a motion to accept Resolution 92-R-
23, seconded by councilperson Martin. Motion CARRIED 5-0.
