CITY COUNCIL OF EDGEWATER
SPECIAL MEETING
April 15, 1992
MINUTES
Mayor Wessler called the meeting to order at 2:30 p.m. in the
Community Center for the purpose of mid-year budget review.

Mayor Wessler began with the first page of the worksheet
presented by Mr. McMahon. She commented on the need of a vehicle
for the City Hall employees to use; the car being used currently
is in dangerous condition. She shared with the Council her
latest experience with this vehicle. Carl Overstreet, Director
of Public Works, informed the Council that the worst vehicle to
make a courier-type vehicle out of is a used police car. The
City Manager was asked to look into this.
Mayor Wessler continued down the departments, asking for comments
and/or questions.
Mark Karet, Director of Community Development, answered questions
regarding the computer equipment budgeted.
William Vola, Fire Chief, answered questions regarding the repair
expenses and machinery and equipment budgeted.
Carl Overstreet, Director of Public Works, answered questions
regarding the machinery and equipment budgeted.
Gates Castle, City Engineer, answered questions regarding the
professional services budgeted.
Jack Corder, Director of Parks & Recreation, answered questions
regarding the machinery and equipment budgeted. He also
discussed the summer recreation program with Council.
There was also discussion about the proposed bicycle path and the
proposed construction in the same area.
Mayor Wessler stated the public should be reminded to conserve
water during the water conservation months.
ADJOURNMENT
Councilperson Martin moved to adjourn. Councilperson Gillespie
seconded the motion. Meeting adjourned 2:45 p.m.
