COMMUNITY CENTER MINUTES CALL TO ORDER Mayor Hayman called the Special Meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. in the Community Center. ROLL CALL Mayor Jack Hayman Councilman Danny Hatfield Councilwoman Louise Martin Councilman Michael Hays Councilman David Mitchum City Attorney Krista Storey city Manager George McMahon City Clerk Susan Wadsworth Police Chief Lawrence Schumaker Present Present Present Present Present Present Present Present Present Res. 97-R-25 Declaring results of General Election held September 30. 1997 Mayor Hayman read Res. 97-R-25. Councilman Mitchum made a motion to approve Res. 97-R-25, second by Councilman Hatfield. The motion CARRIED 5-0. Mayor Hayman congratulated the new Council. City Clerk Wadsworth presented a report of the Canvassing Board. She asked Council to accept this report. Councilman Hays made a motion to accept the report, second by Councilman Mitchum. The motion CARRIED 5-0. Addition to Agenda - Settlement of Kahle v. City of Edgewater City Attorney Storey presented a report regarding a settlement of $3,500 in the case of Kahle v. City of Edgewater. She recommended approval. Councilman Hays moved for approval, second by Councilwoman Martin. The motion CARRIED 5-0. ADJOURNMENT There being no further business to discuss, Councilman Hatfield made a motion to adjourn. Councilman Hays congratulated Gary Roberts and moved to adjourn.
