the Mayor or Vice Mayor to execute the agreements for State
required workers compensation and continuation of the City's
health insurance (administrative requirement).
City Manager McMahon explained they have been going back and
forth between GRIT and Florida League of cities. Both are the
largest qualified workers compensation underwriters in the state.
The latest quote from the FLOC is $1,000 below GRIT. He went on
to point out the cost savings.
City Manager McMahon informed Council representatives were
available from GRIT and FLOC.

Finance Director Fred Munoz stated the initial quote from the
FLOC was $210,444.00. The final quote was $176,773.00. A
difference of $33,671.00.
Councilman Mitchum made a motion to accept the proposal from FLOC
and to authorize the Mayor or Vice Mayor to exercise the options
in signing the necessary papers, second by Councilwoman Martin.
The motion CARRIED 5-0.
Mayor Hayman stated the next item is the agreement for worker's
compensation and health insurance.
City Manager McMahon explained the health insurance is the same
coverage we now have but there is a change from Mass Mutual to
Unicare. They call for acceptance of the due policies and
authorization to sign that.
