EXECUTIVE SESSION

MINUTES
CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Thomas called the Special Closed Meeting to order at
5:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers, 104 N. Riverside Drive.
City Attorney Ansay stated she and City Manager Barlow are
asking that they have a Special Closed Meeting to seek the
advice of the City Council related to the litigation
involving the Department of Community Affairs and the City
of Edgewater as it pertains to both the Restoration
Comprehensive Plan Amendment, there is also a separate
proceeding that is also pending related to the Restoration
Development Order.
Mayor Thomas stated this was going to be a closed attorney
client session between the City of Edgewater City Council
and its City Attorney. They will commence and those not
authorized to attend will be asked to exit the room during
the course of the meeting. He expected the closed session
to take approximately one to two hours. The names of those
who will be in attendance are as follows: Mayor Michael
Thomas, Councilwoman Harriet Rhodes, Councilwoman Debra
Rogers, who was not present at this time, Councilwoman Gigi
Bennington, Councilman Ted Cooper, City Manager Tracey
Barlow and City Attorney Carolyn Ansay. Staff is not
permitted in the closed attorney client session.
City Attorney Ansay stated by law they are required to have
a court reporter and she was waiting for them in the main
Conference Room.
The Council returned to the Council Chambers. Mayor Thomas
stated the closed attorney client session had been
concluded. He reopened the public meeting and adjourned
the Special Meeting.

closed at 6:00 p.m.
