SPECIAL MEETING
NOVEMBER 28, 1988
MINUTES
Acting Mayor David Mitchum called the meeting to order at 7:00 P.M. in the
Community Center.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES - REGULAR MEETING OF NOVEMBER 21, 1988
Councilman Rotundo moved they adopt these minutes. Councilman Asting seconded
the motion. Motion CARRIED 3-0.
COUNCIL COMMENTS
Councilman Rotundo wished the best of luck to the new Council and expressed his
appreciation for the help he had from all the citizens.
Councilman Asting thanked the people for their support during the eight years
and wished the new Council all the luck in the world.
Acting Mayor Mitchum expressed his pleasure to serve as a Councilman the past
two years and thanked the other Council members for their cooperation. He
welcomed the new Council and pledged to be the leader he'd promised and to be
progressive. He stated that good cooperation, open communication, and being
honest and fair with people will achieve the goal of accomplishing the things the
City needs.
RESOLUTION NO. 88-R-60 ADJOURNMENT SINE DIE
Mr. Powers read this Resolution. RES. 88-R-60 - A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA, DETERMINING THAT THERE IS NO FURTHER BUSINESS
TO COME BEFORE THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA, AND THAT THIS
ADMINISTRATION OF THE CITY OF EDGEWATER, FLORIDA, ADJOURN SINE DIE; REPEALING ALL
RESOLUTIONS IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Councilman
Asting moved they adopt the Resolution. Councilman Rotundo seconded the motion.
Motion CARRIED 3-0.
ADMINISTERING OF OATHS TO INCOMING COUNCIL MEMBERS
Mr. Powers announced that Mrs. Bennington is not present as she's in Pensacola
with her daughter awaiting her first grandchild but she'd been sworn in previously
effective as of 7 P.M. tonight.
Acting City Clerk Wadsworth then administered the oaths of office to the new
Mayor David Mitchum, Councilman Danny Hatfield, Councilman Russell Gold, and
Councilman Thomas Fish.
Meeting was closed at 7:09 P.M.
