held October 5, 1999.

Volusia Supervisor of Elections
Volusia County Administrative Building, DeLand Florida.
October 5, 1999 -5:05 P.M.
Canvassing Board Present: Susan J. Wadsworth, City Clerk, Nikki Clayton, Legal Department
Bill Fyfe, Election worker also present.
Proof of Publication for the Notice Testing of Tabulations Equipment, Notice Canvassing of
Absentee Elector's Ballot and Notice of Municipal Election were presented to the Board by
Deanie Lowe, Supervisor of Elections. (Copies of proofs attached)
Susan Wadsworth & Nikki Clayton witnessed Logic & Accuracy Test and running of zero total
tapes.
Bill Fyfe Elections worker, went over the procedures and policy for determining validity of the
absentee ballots.
Susan Wadsworth, City Clerk, announced that all absentee ballot vote signatures had been
checked and verified with the signatures on file with the Supervisor of Elections .
Absentee ballots were checked by the Canvassing Board members for voters signatures and
witnesses signatures and addresses. 148 ballots were presented and inspected.
146 ballots were accepted
2 ballot rejected returned by post office could not forward
Ballots were prepared for counting.
After 7:00 p.m. the machine count against the number of absentee ballots was verified and
witnessed by Susan Wadsworth and Nikki Clayton .
Absentee ballots were presented to the Volusia County Election Department for counting and
tabulation.
Report of votes cast in the Primary Election were presented to Canvassing Board.
Canvassing Board determined to accept report as the results . (Copy of report attached)

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
EDGEWATER, FLORIDA, DECLARING THE RESULTS OF
THE PRIMARY ELECTION HELD OCTOBER 5, 1999 AND
DECLARING THE CANDIDATES FOR THE GENERAL
ELECTION FOR CITY COUNCIL TO BE HELD ON
NOVEMBER 2, 1999; REPEALING RESOLUTIONS IN
CONFLICT HEREWITH AND PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
- WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Edgewater, Florida, has made the following
determinations:
1. A primary election was held on October 5, 1999, for the purpose of determining the
City Council candidates for the November 2, 1999 general election.
2. All votes have been tabulated and confirmed.
3. It is necessary for the City Council to forward to the Supervisor of Elections a list of
City Council candidates for the November 2, 1999, general election.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Edgewater,
Florida:
