02-24-2003 Special Communication Interlocal Agency — Governing Board Niftlow February 24, 2003 — Special Meeting The Special Meeting of the CIA Governing Board was held pursuant to public notice at the Emergency Operations Center in the Port Orange Police Department, Florida on February 24, 2003. Chairman Donald Schmidt called the meeting to order at 4:33 p.m. A roll call was held with Mayors Schmidt and Hukill present. Also in attendance was Board Council Margaret Roberts in addition to City Manager Kenneth Parker of Port Orange. Fire Chief Chris Phelps of Ponce Inlet was present along with a representative of the New Journal. Mayor Vandergrifft arrived after the pledge of allegiance. The Chairman called for all to rise for the pledge of allegiance. There was no review or action on previous minutes nor were their any public comments, correspondence, or comments from Governing Board members. The Director offered no Report or unfinished business. The Chairman moved immediately to new business. The agreement with the Town of Ponce Inlet to dispatch their Fire services was offered for approval to the Board. The Governing Board members reviewed the contract and had no questions or comments. Mayor Hukill moved to accept the contract with a second from Mayor Vandergrifft. The acceptance on the Agreement to dispatch for Ponce Inlet's Fire /Rescue Department was a unanimous decision. The meeting was adjourned at 4:38 p.m. Approved by the Board March 20, 2003.
